Never thought about it much but barbed wire has played a part in my life more than I realized. I sold barb-wire wreaths for a short while at festivals and western wear stores and to co-workers. I visited Billy the Kid’s rumored grave and noticed the barb-wire wreath there. My husband is a master fencemaker, with two ranches and miles of barbed wire stretched behind him and plenty more waiting to be repaired in front of him. This painting is entitled “Barbs”. It refers to barbed wire, as well as to spoken words. The acrylic painting is on canvas board, measuring 16″ height and 12″ width. The wooden frame measures 18 1/2″ height and 14 3/4″ width.
