Earth, Air, Water, Fire

Do you love mud? It’s everywhere. Without dirt and water, there would be no mud. Without dirt and water, there would be no plants and no flowers or *chocolate. Mud brings into focus how different life inside versus life outside under the stars without a roof and a floor are. Do you love to experience ocean breezes under a swaying umbrella? Without oxygen, there can be no currents of air and no fire in fireplaces. If you love mud and flowers, wind and fire and life on our planet, then you might love my paintings.
Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, and life, here. These are the subjects I portray in my art.
You might find me sitting near a shoreline under an umbrella at a beach or on a tiny deck outside. I might be found studying flowers, clouds, and meteor showers. I have a tent and a grill and love to camp out and cook out. Kayaking and bicycling are new and old loves. I’ve been a lifelong student of art and I consider it a vocation, not a hobby. All of my art is for sale and is always negotiable–please, make an offer if you are interested in purchasing an item of art.
Living in cities, towns, and ranches throughout the southwest United States has colored my art. Please see the story behind the painting, “Mud Muse”, featured in this website.
Thanks for L@@KING!
*Several years ago, the opposite of chocolate, in my opinion, was mud. In more recent years, I have developed a respect for mud.
